Friday's Letters

Dear Friday, I can't believe you are here again! Where has this week gone?!
Dear Blog, I promise I didn't mean to neglect you...but I'm back! I promise :)
Dear E, omygosh, I heard you finally speak (the first "da-das")! You are growing up so fast, I cannot believe that you are 6 months old already! <3
Happy 6 months E!
Dear JD, you are so precious to me. But I don't think you get it just yet. I know that all the attention looks like it's going to your little sister, but I promise, it's only temporary...
Dear bluum, I was a little disappointed this month with the stuff E got. Plus the shipping took a little longer than last time. BUT, at least I got them, right?
Dear Edward, I know you are crazy about having a dog in the house. I know you want JD to grow up with a best friend. I'm not ready. I'M NOT READY. T_T

5 Things I loved about...June!

It's July???? When did that happen? Every month seems like it's just slipping away faster and faster and before you know, we'll find ourselves with a hangover on New Year's Day. <.< Maybe not you or me, but someone we might know?

So, time to look back and list the top 5 things that I loved about June:

1. I finished a 5K. Yes, that's right. My very first 5K. Ok, it may not seem like a big deal to those who not athletically challenged like I am. But the matter of fact is that I finished. And under an hour which was my other goal. :D
2. Link-ups. I love reading other blogs. This is part of my morning routine next to coffee and emails. I love the fact that some of these blogs have link ups. It's like I get to share a part of my story and welcomed by it! I have been faithful to the 52 weeks of blogging. I love reading what other people put and I enjoy reading comments that I get from readers...Plus my extra bonus is getting to know myself all over again. :P A bit narcissistic I know, but I don't really blab about myself IRL...
3. My kids.
My kids are probably always going to make this list every month...lol I love those little faces but I hate the fact that they are growing up so fast. D:< E and JD are quite the team and I'm pretty sure once E is mobile, I'll have my hands full!
4. School's out and Summer is in. Ok, summer sucks here in the M-I-A. But, finishing my summer class with a B? Highlight of my month. lol
5. You, readers. I can't thank you guys enough. Seriously. I love getting to you know the fellow bloggers and getting emails from y'all. It's amazing. Thanks and a million thanks.

What were your favorite things this month?

52 Weeks of Blogging with A Purpose; Show & Tell Monday-- Week 3

This week's theme: My Life 5 Years From Now.

This was tough. If you would've asked me this question 5 years ago, I would have said something along the lines of "roommates", "single", "crazy cat lady". You can't predict life nor can you control it... but you can dream. It's what living is all about, right?

My life 5 years from now (at least I would hope):
-...I'd like to be living in a house. Not a big ass apartment. No, a house, with a big backyard and enough space to create a play area for the kids. Growing up, I lived a lot with my grandmother. She had a HUGE house with a pool and giant tree with a treehouse. Can you say PERFECT CHILDHOOD?
-...I'd have another baby. What?! Isn't two little munchkins enough? I know that my husband always wanted to have a big family (and I mean he was thinking 5 kids. As a sensible woman, I said HELL NO). But...I grew up with 2 siblings. 3 is my magic number.
-...I'll be working somewhere in the field of my chosen career or doing Grad school. I knew when I was in high school that psychology was something that I always dreamed of doing. I see my path headed towards that direction, even if it's slow and taking me a little longer to finish school, I want my kids to have the best and a role model that strives for the best.
-...I would have at least done one thing off my bucket list. A girl can dream right?
-...If I'm not out of Florida, then I'd be out of Miami. Don't get me wrong, I grew up here and I wouldn't imagine of leaving everything I know. But, sometimes life can call you somewhere else. But I don't think I could leave FL...at least not yet. Not even in 5 years.
-...I'd have visited at least 3 other states. My husband and I love to travel. I never had the chance to do it much when I was JD's age. But once I started, I couldn't stop! And I love to be able to share this with my kids (at least JD has traveled already). Call it, our family bonding.
Just a little reminder of sweet beginnings <3
